What's On

OVERVIEW OF THE PARTNERSHIP

The West Housing Market Area Partnership brings together representatives from a range of organisations that contribute to and influence delivery of housing and sustainable communities in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.  The Partnership aims to:

  1. Provide opportunities for partners to contribute their experience and expertise and to identify and share good practice;
  2. Develop partners' common understanding of the sub-regional housing market;
  3. Provide a strategic overview of the assembly, interpretation, review and updating of the evidence base for a range of policies and strategies including the Local Development;
  4. Build commitment to tackling housing problems and issues on a mutual basis;
  5. Provide opportunities for Partners to have an early input into housing policy and strategy formulation;
  6. Raise awareness of housing issues affecting the sub-region at a regional and national level;
  7. Raise the profile of the West Housing Market Area at a local, regional and national level.

Specifically, the Partnership will oversee the development and implementation of the sub-regional housing strategy which will be produced in 2011
